Introducing Mac Miller…
I guess recently a lot has been on my mind about my future and what not then i stumbled upon this quote it just reminds me that you are never too old to do anything… so make sure you never regret anything and go live the life that you dream of.
“A man is not old until regrets take the place of dreams.” – John Barrymore
I realized today that you have to be happy with yourself before you can really be happy with someone else. Not sure if that makes sense to everybody but it makes sense for me. You can’t be looking for someone to fill that void in your life, you have to do things that will fill that void for you, what I mean by that is that i feel you should do something that you love or are interested. I know that you can be happy when you are with someone else but when you are only happy when you are with someone there is something wrong with that picture. All this time I’ve been doing the former, looking for that person that would be that fit (not trying to wife anybody up here but I’m just saying) for me, and i realized that I’ve been doing it all wrong. I haven’t really been happy with my whole situation and I now realize that I have been looking for happiness in all the wrong places, happiness should start from within and no one could make me as happy as I can make myself.
P.S. On a non-philosophical note: I’m pretty messed up… don’t know how the hell i wrote this crap but it seems to make sense to me… Please let me know what y’all think… and for some reason I think I’m finally getting the Asian glow (nothing to be proud of actually). Goodnight y’all.
I was watching Harry Potter: The Sorcerer’s Stone tonight for the very first time and found one quote to be very profound. It comes as Dumbledore discusses the dangers of the mirror to Harry.
Dumbledore: It does not do to dwell on dreams, Harry, and forget to live.
I won’t bore you with the significance of why I found this quote so profound to myself, but the message is apparent and enlightening to anyone who has set high and lofty goals with great aspirations to only forget the beauty of the present and to live in it. Carpe diem.
Justin Michael (Reality Check)
That’s THE Justin Michael formerly known as Justin Chan. If my boy was to be a Marvel Comics superhero, I think he would, without a doubt, be Gambit. You know, that dude with a brown trench coat, red eyes, and has the ability to fucking set playing cards ablaze! Yeah, Justin is like that.. sort of. Like Gambit, Justin’s handy with his cards and takes his gambling seriously. He likes lighting things up too except it won’t be a deck of cards as much as it will be a pack of tobacco sticks. Carrying around a pole ain’t his swag either, although JMC knows how to work one ( Jeff knows it all too well).
I’m not a person who subscribes to anything. I mean I don’t read Men’s Health, Wall Street Journal, or Sports Illustrated or anything like that. But I’ll tell you what I do read almost religiously, especially around basketball season – Justin’s Facebook status. He should win a Nobel Prize or Pulitzer for that shit because it literally keeps me happy and living longer. But hey, he tells it how it is and you can always count on the guy’s brutal honesty and that’s why we love him. Thanks, Reality Check!
